SUMMARY:What Would You Do? JES Workshop
DESCRIPTION:What Would You Do? When workplace behaviour crosses the line and becomes sexual harassment, facilitated by Justice Education Society\nWorkplace sexual harassment can happen to anyone, in any field, and at any workplace, it is not limited to male or female-dominated environments. It includes a wide range of behaviors, from inappropriate jokes and comments about someone’s body, to disrespectful treatment based on gender identity, pronouns, or other personal boundaries. Even moments that feel awkward or uncomfortable may qualify as sexual harassment under BC law. This interactive workshop helps professionals recognize when workplace behavior crosses the line, understand their legal rights and responsibilities, and practice responding to real-life situations safely and effectively. Join us to build awareness, confidence, and practical skills to prevent and address harassment in the workplace, no matter the industry, role, or setting.\nWorkshop Objectives:\n– Recognize harassment and understand what crosses the line.\n– Explore the difference between respectful and disrespectful behaviour.\n– Understand how cultural norms affect perceptions of harassment.\n– Identify what a safe and respectful workplace looks like.\n– Learn practical ways to respond to harassment and where to find support.\n– Access legal rights, resources and support services.\n
